Project Overview

1. Starlink Installation Assessment and Planning

Our Starlink SMEs conducted an initial offsite assessment to analyze the location through the satellite imagery and onsite photos coming from the customer. This step is essential to assess the structure of the property for optimal dish installation points, selection of mounting hardware, cable routing plan and collect customer requirements for the installation. After the assessment, the scope of work were identified and the needed installation materials.

Scope of work:

🔹Install Starlink dish using a Pivot Mount
🔹Plan and execute cable routing to indoor Gen3 WiFi Mesh Router
🔹Use masonry routing kit for clean cable pass-through and sealing
🔹Configure WiFi settings and optimize router placement
🔹Provide Starlink App walkthrough and usage guide
🔹Perform alignment and performance testing

The installation plan was developed and sent over to the customer for approval. Once approved, the installation schedule was arranged with our certified Starlink installers in Shreveport.

2. Onsite Execution

Our Starlink installers arrived as scheduled, and took inventory of the needed equipments and materials.

The dish was securely mounted on a brick structure as optimal location verfied from Starlink obstructions test.

Cable routing was neatly done along the brick wall and roof eave to the entry point created leading to the indoor location of the Gen3 WiFi Mesh Router. 

They connect the cable and power adaptor to the router and powered on. Configured the WiFi settings with its SSID and password.They installed two additional mesh routers at customer-approved spots to ensure strong, consistent coverage throughout the home.

The customer was given a walkthrough on how to use the Starlink App.

3. Post-Installation Performance Testing

After the Starlink installation, a Starlink dish alignment test was carried out to ensure precise dish positions to the line of sight to the satellite network.

Then, the Starlink speed test was conducted to test the system’s internet performance. It’s important to note that Starlink can take up to 12 hours to synchronize with the satellite network fully.
