Our Starlink installation SMEs received a service request for Starlink and WiFi installation in Pojoaque, NM. To process the service request, the following processes were executed:

1. Starlink Installation Assessment and Planning

An initial offsite assessment was carried out to gather information about the structure of the property and site conditions. Using satellite imagery and customer-provided onsite photos, our team able to assess the dish installation points, suitable mounting hardware, cable routing plan and list of installation materials needed.

After the assessment, the installation plan was sent over to the customer for approval. Once approved, the installation schedule was coordinated with our certified Starlink installers in Pojoaque, NM.

The installation started with a Starlink obstructions test to identify the optimal location for installing the Starlink dish. Based on the result, the chosen location has a clear view of the sky.

Once inside, the Starlink cable and power adapter were connected to the router, which was centrally positioned in the Library room for better WiFi coverage. Gen 3 router setup

The router was powered on and allowed to initialize, after which the Starlink service was activated and the secure WiFi network was configured with a custom SSID and password.

3. Starlink Optimization and Testing

After the Starlink equipment installation, a Starlink alignment test was conducted to ensure that the dish is properly aligned to the satellite network. The dish must have an unobstructed view (especially to the north in the northern hemisphere or south in the southern hemisphere) to maintain strong, uninterrupted connectivity.

DID YOU KNOW?
Pojoaque, New Mexico, has deep roots in Tewa Pueblo history. The name Pojoaque comes from the Indigenous term Po-suwae geh, commonly translated as “water drinking place” or “where the rivers meet,” referring to the area where the Rio Nambé and Rio Tesuque form the Rio Pojoaque. The Pojoaque Valley has been home to Tewa-speaking Pueblo communities for centuries, with ancestral settlements established in the region long before European colonization.
