Our Starlink installation SMEs received a service request for Starlink and WiFi installation in Marianna, FL. To process the service request, the following processes were executed:
The initial offsite assessment was conducted to determine the structure of the property and site conditions. This preliminary assessment involves analyzing the home through satellite imagery and onsite photos requested from the customer. The potential obstructions were being verified like trees or buildings on the area. The offsite assessment allows the team to determine the necessary equipment, tools, materials and manpower needed for one-visit Starlink installation.
After the initial offsite assessment, the installation plan was created and communicated to the customer for approval. Once approved, the installation schedule was coordinated with our professional Starlink installers in Marianna, FL.
Our Starlink installers arrived onsite and performed the Starlink obstructions test to find the optimal location for the dish installation. This test evaluates the surrounding environment for any potential obstructions, such as trees, buildings, or other structures that may interfere with the satellite network.
Based on the obstruction data, the installation team proceeded with dish installation by digging a hole on the ground about 2 feet deep and 1.5 feet wide with the pole positioned in the center. Position the pole perfectly vertical using a level. Pour concrete around the pole and keep it supported until the concrete has cured sufficiently. Attach the pipe adapter securely to the top of the pole, then slide the Starlink mast into the adapter.
Then they routed Starlink cable from the dish, runs vertically down the pole and securely fastened with clips. Digging a narrow underground pathway to route and protect Starlink cables between the dish installation location and the building. Created a wall entry point through a discreetly drilled hole sealed with grommet and sealant.
They connected the Starlink cable and power adaptor to the Gen3 WiFi Mesh router. Powered on the router to initialize and perform firmware updates. With the hardware setup complete, they initiated the activation process and guided the customer through configuring the network name (SSID) and password.
In addition, customer was guided through the Starlink App, demonstrating key features such as performance monitoring, device management and basic troubleshooting.
The team verified the satellite dish’s orientation by carrying out a Starlink alignment test. This test is essential to confirm that the dish maintains a clear and stable connection with the Starlink satellite network.
Following alignment, the team performed an advanced Starlink speed test to assess the system’s internet performance.
It is important to note that Starlink systems may require up to 12 to 24 hours to optimize the internet speed.
