Our Starlink installation SMEs received a service request for Starlink and WiFi Installation in Little Elm TX. To process the service request, the following processes were executed:
An initial offsite assessment was carried out to gather information about the structure of the property and site conditions. Using satellite imagery and customer-provided onsite photos, our team able to assess the installation points, suitable mounting hardware, cable routing plan and list of installation materials needed.
After the assessment, the installation plan was sent over to the customer for approval. Once approved, the installation schedule was coordinated with our certified Starlink installers in Little Elm, TX.
The installation started with a Starlink obstructions test to identify the optimal location for installing the Starlink dish. Based on the result, the chosen location has a clear view of the sky.
The Starlink dish was securely installed at an elevated position on the black metal beam using an adjustable wall mount.
The Starlink cable was then neatly routed from the dish to the indoor location of the Gen 3 router. Once inside, the Starlink cable and power adapter were connected to the router, which was centrally positioned within the property to provide optimal WiFi coverage. The router was powered on and allowed to initialize, after which the Starlink service was activated and the secure WiFi network was configured with a custom SSID and password.
To extend the WiFi coverage, two additional third-party mesh routers were installed at strategic locations in the office.
After the Starlink equipment installation, a Starlink alignment test was conducted to ensure that the dish is properly aligned to the satellite network. The dish must have an unobstructed view (especially to the north in the northern hemisphere or south in the southern hemisphere) to maintain strong, uninterrupted connectivity.
Then a Starlink Speed Test was performed to check the connection’s performance. The test provides key metrics like download speed, upload speed and latency.
It is important to note that Starlink may take up to 12 hours to fully optimize its connection after activation or installation.
