To determine the technical feasibility of the Starlink installation, an initial offsite assessment was conducted using satellite imagery and requested onsite photos. A site survey was recommended to:
🔹Using the Starlink App, confirm installation location by running an Obstructions Test(s) exactly at the installation location(s); consider height and dish orientation while performing tests.
🔹Confirm outdoor/indoor cable path with customer's permission.
🔹Determine the existing dish to be decommissioned.
🔹Complete the technical site survey questionnaire provided, which will be sent prior to dispatch. Ensure that all relevant data is accurately captured.
🔹Develop installation options / plans outlining the proposed network design (if needed), equipment requirements, material lists and tools necessary for successful deployment.

🔹Decommission the existing Starlink Standard dish currently mounted on a pole at the old address, including safe removal of the dish and associated cabling. Transport the Starlink Standard dish and associated equipment to the new installation address.
🔹Install the Starlink Standard dish on the roof using a Starlink pivot mount, ensuring proper alignment, secure fastening, and compliance with installation best practices.
🔹Cable routing and management
🔹Professionally mount all routers and their corresponding power supplies using the designated mounting kits, ensuring that all mounting hardware is properly aligned.
🔹Install and set up the primary Starlink Gen 3 router, including system power-up, configuration, and connectivity testing. Setup the mesh using third party router and place it to the strategic place for WiFi coverage of the entire house.
The Starlink dish was securely mounted on the roof location with confirmed rating "Great" from Starlink obstructions test.
The Starlink cable is routed from the dish to the attic towards indoor location of the Gen 3 router. It is then connected to the router including its power adaptor. Powered on to initialize, activated the Starlink and configured the WiFi settings.
Then the customer was given a walkthrough on how to use the Starlink app.
After the Starlink equipment installation, a Starlink alignment test was conducted for precise posiitioning of the dish with a clear line of sight to the satellite network, free from obstructions.
Then a Starlink speed test was performed to check the connection performance.
Note: Starlink may require up to 12 hours to fully optimize its connection with its satellite network. You might notice brief service interruptions or fluctuations in speed. This is a normal part of the setup, and once completed, you can expect more consistent optimal internet performance.
